Putting God first means that we keep the greatest commandment: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” ( Matthew 22:37 ). In other words, we are totally invested in our relationship with God. Everything we have and everything we are is devoted to Him. We hold nothing back.
Since you know your own story, you are often able to keep loving yourself despite the things you do. Since God knows everything about us, He is able to understand what led up to our bad behavior, and He loves us anyway. He loves us in the midst of our bad behavior, because He knows what led up to it. This is the first key to knowing the heart

Christ’s inheritance is the whole universe, all that is in existence: Hebrews 1:2 says that the Son has been “appointed heir of all things.”. Being a co-heir with Christ means that we, as God’s adopted children, will share in the inheritance of Jesus. What belongs to Jesus will also belong to us. Christ gives us His glory ( John 17:22
So, just to recap here is a list of what it means to be a child of God: As children of God, we are blameless through the blood of Christ. We live in the world but are not of the world. We following the leading of the Holy Spirit and bear the fruit of the Spirit. We are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.
